Do you have project ideas that could help bring economic benefits to your community? Is your organization lacking the knowledge or experience to locate and access funding? Under the recently initiated NKDF Grassroots Development Project, we may be able to assist you.



The Nechako-Kitamaat Development Fund (NKDF) Society’s programs support sustainable economic activity in northern communities affected by the Kitimat-Kemano project and by the creation of the Nechako Reservoir.

NKDF receives proposals on an ongoing basis for a broad range of projects throughout the investment area. This is mostly due to the efforts of a few skilled proposal writers in each of the communities. Of course the writers are able to develop proposals thanks to funding from a few strategic sources.

The purpose of the Grassroots Development Project is to help jump-start projects at the community level, with a primary goal of leveraging outside funds into the communities in the NKDF service area.
