Matthew Kinch joined the BC Public Service in 2018 and has worked with Ministries in the social and economy sectors. Most recently, Matthew led provincial initiatives aimed at addressing the history and legacy of the residential school system in British Columbia. Matthew currently works with the Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation where he oversees regional and Indigenous economic development initiatives. Matthew has a Master's Degree in Public Policy and Public Administration with a focus on Crown-Indigenous relations in the context of major resource development projects in Northern British Columbia. Matthew lives with his young family on the traditional and treaty lands of the Tla'amin Nation in Powell River, British Columbia.
