Rod Holland

Rod Holland

Rod has resided in northwest BC since 1997 and spent his career in service to the communities he has called home. While it was work that initially brought Rod and his family to the region, it is the outdoor lifestyle and sense of community that has kept them here.

Rod retired after a rewarding 33-year career in the RCMP, however, retirement did not last long. In 2015, Rod joined the Village of Fraser Lake as the Chief Administrative Officer.

At the time, Fraser Lake was experiencing significant economic challenges, following the closure of Endako Mine. As the municipality worked to offset the social and economic impacts of that industrial closure, Rod quickly learned to appreciate the numerous supports available to the communities, most notably the funding opportunities. The ability to access grant funding from organizations such as NKDF, often meant the difference between a community project advancing or not.

Rod is grateful for the many community supports provided by both NKDF and other funding agencies. He has witnessed firsthand the health, vibrancy and sustainability of the communities positively impacted through the support of agencies such as NKDF.
