Nechako-Kitamaat Development Fund Society (NKDF) is recruiting volunteers who reside within Vanderhoof, Burns Lake or the nearby surrounding communities to serve on the Board of Directors for an initial one-year term (January 1, 2026-December 31, 2026) with an option for re-appointment.
There are currently 2 vacancies on the Board. The Board is seeking individuals with experience in one or more of the following:
Economic development
Governance (visionary thinking)
Leadership skills
Communications (public relations)
Financial (investment management knowledge, reading financial statements)
Board members are required to attend a minimum of four meetings annually, to be held in various communities across the investment area. Directors are responsible to direct the policies and operations of the Society, including reviewing applications and deciding which projects to fund.
Directors receive honorariums for meeting attendance and travel expenses are covered.
